In 1998 they released their self-titled debut album, which contained poprock. From the debut album were in homeland America one million copies sold.
The breakthrough came with the band's second album Drops of Jupiter in 2001. Especially the eponymous single is a hit worldwide.
It seemed that the band would remain a mayfly. Drops of Jupiter after they scored a hit more, until 2010. With the single Hey, soul sister the band even scored a No. 1 hit in the Netherlands. Since then, the weather is good with the band and in 2012 they score with the single "drive by" the first single from the album "California 37", another Top 10 hit.
